I stumbled across this nice photo of four RNZAF TA-4K/G Skyhawks in echelon formation. The second aircraft in the aggressor scheme with green&tan drop tanks NZ6255 begs to be built. So now I am thinking of finishing the Hasegawa TA-4J in
VT-22 markings as NZ6255 instead.
I'm not sure what 'aggressor' scheme your alluding to on NZ6255 (ex RAN 880/N13-154911) as it's still in the standard wrap around RAN Air Superiority scheme, whilst NZ6256 (ex RAN 881/N13-154912) is in the standard USN scheme she was always in. Ther was never an 'agressor' scheme on RAN A-4s.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct that NZ6255, ex 880, is flying in late service RAN two tone wrap around scheme. The term 'aggressor' entered my lexicon for this scheme from reading the instructions on the Super Scale decal sheet 48-213 on RAN Skyhawks that calls this a 'wrap around aggressor scheme.'
